Celebrating the unique YOU!

Hello beautiful people. Welcome to my first blog post. Since this site is all about highlighting the best parts of who we are through fashion, I thought we should kick things off by celebrating each other in our uniqueness.

We often make the mistake of looking at other women and think, "they’re so much better than me! I wish I looked like that, I wish I could do that or I wish I had that.” Often these negative thoughts lead us to jealousy and competitiveness towards each other. We now waste precious energy trying to outdo the other girl instead of focusing on what makes us happy, what brings us fulfillment and how we can better our own lives. It takes nothing away from you when your sister Queen does well in her lane, instead she should be an inspiration for you to persevere in your own lane. She should be celebrated.

We are all designed differently and our beauty lies in those differences. I find all women to be beautiful, whether they have dark skin or light skin; afro, curly or straight hair; small or plus size. We are all a unique package of giftings and talents, and until we realize that, we will go through life feeling inadequate and insecure.

Nobody chooses to be born in a particular shape or skin color, we were all made the way we are for a divine purpose. Instead of comparing and feeling jealous of others, why don't you run your own race. You were fearfully and wonderfully made for a special purpose, and the events that unfold in your life, and all the obstacles that stand in your way, the victories and successes you enjoy, are all pointers to that great plan. You are meant to run your unique race in your unique way, live life in a way that only YOU can.

We are all Queens in our own domains. So love yourself and wear your crown with pride, because honey YOU ARE MAGICAL!
